Visa Application

Each company is allotted a certain number of visa's from each nationality. If the company has extra visa allotment for UK nationals with them, it should be a faster process. If not they need to apply and wait.

And most immigration departments in companies are laid back and take their own time to complete the job, so that also could be the reason for the delay. Like colo said more interested in "kadak" tea and conversation.

If ur company have ur nationality visa approval,then it will take 2,3 or 4days depends upon the immigration officers working interest.some days they won't do anything, only drinking tea and engaged in telephonic conversation.

If ur company don't have visa aproval ,then it will take time 2,3 or 4weeks,sometimes months.

it took a month for us as well. I guess it practically takes few weeks.

Bit confused, my company have started the visa app and are saying it'll take a few weeks, but Slamit4u is saying couple days max, what could be causing it to take few weeks if normally 2 days????

a)Visa application is a simple process.you jsut need to give your passport copies.since you did not turn to qatar before will be easy.Only thing they care about age.sometime you need to submit educational certicate for higher level post. Some listed counties application required with police clearence.

b)Visa processing time will be maximum of two days.

c)they can send to you the visa copy through mail or they send you visa number by sms or mail and you can download visa from www.moi.gov.qa.

d)you need to have visa copy with you before you leave from uk and someone from here to submit your visa and passport copy to the travels which airline(eg:if you are flying with Qatar aiways someone should meet above said with qatar airways travel agents here) you going to fly here to get a PNR number for the first time you come to Qatar.
