US citizen seeking advice

Hi everybody,

I'm a US citizen and recently I received an offer in Qatar, it's in the information technology field, and I know to get the PR in Qatar person has to pass a medical test, my question is what kind of tests the person has to pass and what would be the consequences in case of failure to pass it, because I'm going to resign from my current job and leave everything.

Thanks

FIRST OF ALL I SUGGEST IF POSSIBLE YOU JOIN WITH OUT RESIGN PREVIOUS JOB AND COME TO QATAR IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANT SERIOUS ILLNESS LIKE AIDS CANCER TB AND HEPATITIS YOU HAVE NO WORRY TO COME IN QATAR AND IN SUCH CASE IF YOU FAIL TO PASS MEDICAL TEST THEY WILL DEPORT YOU WITHOUT WASTING ANY TIME AND YOU CANNOT DO JOB HERE. THATS WHY I SUGGEST IF POSSIBLE TAKE LEAVE FROM PREVIOUS JOB JOIN HERE WITH IN TWO WEEKS YOU WILL KNOW YOUR MEDICAL RESULT THEN YOU CAN RESIGN FROM HERE.

FINALLY YOU KNOW YOUR CONDITION BETTER THEN ANYONE IN THE WORLD.

THANKS

Passport photos are available everywhere. Stock up. You'll need them.

I am accepting work in Doha and had blood work done here in the States and sent those in. Waiting for a permit now. Would you recommend getting the many passpaort size photos from here or is it available readily in Doha

If you think there might be a chance that you could fail the medical screening in Doha consider having the tests done in the States before you leave. Failing the tests means you can be denied an RP. Your insurance with your current employer may pick up part of the bill and even if they don't it may be worth it to know where you stand before you give everything up to move here. My company paid for the tests for me and everyone in my family before we left the States. It is there standard practice with all employees moving to Doha. They said it was insurance just in case there was a mistake with testing here in Doha and it took about a week to get the results back for everything.

They are doing blood test (I think they check AIDS and other diseases, but I am not sure), X-Ray and blood group test. And fingerprints. So if you don't have any major problem, you don't need to worry.
