Tourist/Family Visit Visa

Is it possible to convert a hotel tourist/visit visa to family visit visa.

I am thinking to bring my wife to qatar on a tourist visa arranged by hotel where i am staying right now.

After my RP is ready then i will apply for her Family visit visa,

I need to ask if is it possible to apply for family visit visa while a person is already staying in country on tourist visa?

And if yes, then will it be possible to convert it?

Thanks in advance.

I'll try also this option. My wife has gone home and I'm planning to get her a tourist visa soon. This thread is very helpful.

Salam Bluesoul,

The issuance of her family visit visa is conditional to the availability of your RP. You should be aware that your RP is ready before her touris visa expires as the validity generally takes for 28 days only.

Yet, if your RP can be ready before she arrives in Qatar then why don't you hit the two birds in one stone? Apply outright for family visit visa without resorting to tourist visa application.

Hope the above helps.

yes it is possible.. I did the same with my daughter.. you have to apply for her visit visa before her tourist visa expires..
