Tourist Visa/Residence Permit for Family

Hi!

I would like to ask on the normal time frame for wives and children before they can be issued an RP after the husband gets his?

My husband is traveling by September and I would like to know how many months before my son and I can follow.

My husband is holding a Malaysian passport, so is my son. But I am Filipino. From what I gathered, Malaysia is included in the 33 countries that are given "VOA." Is there any chance that I can apply a tourist visa in Qatar Embassy here so I can travel with my husband and son on September?

Any feed backs from your experiences are truly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Wow, that much to get a visit visa?

How can we get a salary certificate? My husband is only about too start work. The reason I'm applying for visit visa is so I can travel with my husband and son when my husband leaves for Doha. Both of them are Malaysian citizen. My husband has his work visa, while my son can be given a "VOA" as Malaysia is included in countries given one. I am Filipino so I can't be given a "VOA". But mu husband wants me to travel with him. Is it possible to apply for the visit visa and just give an invitation letter from my husband's employer as the sponsor?

I got my son's Tourist Visa from a travel agency called Cleopatra, you will have to pay them 700 QAR and they will take care of everything.

A hotel provided visa means that you will be staying in their hotel throughout the duration of your stay. Otherwise, they will not sponsor at all.

There are companies that provide either business or visit visa for a fee.

Tourist Visa can be arranged by Travel Agent situated at your country. Alternatively, Travel offices situated in Qatar. Usually Travel agents in Qatar are arranging Tourist Visas charging upto QR.600. Validity: 1 month (unextendable). Also, they will insist to provide guarantee for the candidate in case of missing or not traveling back upon completion of visa validity.

Hotel Visas are very costly and the condition is that the guest must stay in their hotel room through out his/her stay in the country.

There are few companies issuing Business visas and they charge upto QR.3,000/- for 3 months period subject to approval from govt. Here, candidate must produce his/her University certificate.

Thanks haroonktk!

I went to the e-government portal (hakoomi?) and they actually said if your country is not included in the 33 countries given a "VOA", you can apply for a tourist visa from the embassy or through the hotel? I'm not sure what they mean by the hotel part.

Do you know anything about this?

We asked my husband's company and they said we contact Qatar Embassy to inquire but when I called this morning, they also said that I can get a tourist visa from the hotel.

As much as I want to inquire further, the man whom I spoke to was unfriendly and seems he wants to hang up already so I was not able to clarify.
