hi all,
I have been working under a employer for about one year. Now, i got a new job, they told to submit (noc, nakal kafala,PCC, passport & PR copy etc) And i submitted it.
A day after submission, visa got expired, now is it a problem for sponsorship transfer.
HR and similar are part of my work. And I have a working visa as well so I know :).
I'll give you an example:
One of our Lebanese employee was relieved from his position after 1 year of employment. We didn't renew his RP and he was informed that he got 90 days to find a new employer from the expiry date of his working visa or he will be penalized at 10riyals per day.
He was able to get a new employer on his 120th day, he paid for the fine (30 days x 10QAR=300QAR) and we finalized his transfer.
Labour Office requires at least or minimum of 12 months (1 year) to approve transfer of sponsorship.
You may also check Qatar Labor Law as it is also indicated there.
Thelonius, actually i am hearing two sides of it, one is what azilana and other one what you have mentioned . So which one exactly is the new rule... confused!!!
Basically you need 2 years under one employer to get sponsorship change, if your profession is good you will have provision to change sponsorship once you complete one year. It wont be problem, once it is changed will show in website and you go to immigration with passport,ID,change amount and renewal amount .(Qr:2100+Qr:1100).

to transfer your sponsorship without any fine/penalty.
However, your NOC is only valid from the date of issue.
Tell your new employer about this and coordinate with their mandoop/PRO to facilitate the transfer the soonest.
