sponsorship letter from indian embassy for family visit visa.
dear sir,
i send family visit visa to my wife, when she came to chennai aiport with return ticket in the airport they told that they need sponsorship letter from indian embassy qatar,in her passport ecr stamp is there.
1.any body send family visit visa send embassy letter also, embassy letter required or not for family visit visa.
2. if ecr(immigration check required) stamp required ecnr clearnace or not.

Since ECR stamp is there, you have to produce the necessary documents for the immigration clearance at airport. Please obtain the required letter from Indian Embassy and send the letter. Better check with ICC.
ecr stamp need only if you are going on working visa for visit visa with return ticket no need my wife just came from mumbai with no ecr stamp on it.
for family visit visa ecnr suspension from poe(protectant of immigrants) in india required or not, if anybody came on family visit visa with ecr stamp please let me know.
Hey first time I am hearing this... my wife and son came several times on family visit but never faced such requirement.. claim your ticket charge from them... Good Luck
You are the sponsor of your family, not the embassy so case one is not applicable. New Indian immigration law states that, if you have a valid passport and if you have a min. qualification of 10th; no immigration stamp is required provided that, you must hold a valid visa and a return ticket. If your wife holds a valid family visit, the immigration officials at the airport don't have the right to stop her.
