show money
By Ross Mayormente •
I'm Travelling from Dubai to Doha. I've seen in some forums that I will be required to present 5000 AED show money at Dubai airport immigration or else I will not be allowed to board my flight. How true is this? Can I present my credit card as an alternative to the actual cash? Thank you!!!
Depending on your nationality and if you fall into one of those countries that permit entry on arrival (tourist visa), expect to pay only QR100 by credit card at the immigration counter.
The most I've ever been asked as an Australian is my address in Qatar.
Do a search online for a reliable website that gives you information on those countries that allow entry on arrival. Australia, USA, UK, Canada, NZ, Japan are just a few of them that come to mind..
Good luck.
I have a co-worker from our dubai office who had to present an atm receipt to show he has cash on his account. BUT, this is because his profession (on his labour card) doesn't qualify for the visa-upon-arrival privilege.
No idea though with regards to your credit card question. Hope this helps
