i have an offer to work in qatar but i am afraid if i may get deported since i have hepa b. but my work is in sales and marketing. can this be a big hindrance in acquring a work permit, and worst be deported? is it a cese to case basis or are there people tested with hepa b and was deported but their work is in sales and marketing also? iv read also that a person was deported though he was engineer in petroleum industry and was tested for hepa b. what's my chances for getting a permanent visa? do i accept the offer? of cors i did not tell my employer about this. iv had one experience b4, and an offer in bahrain, i told my employer i have hepa b but he sugested me not to go there anymore. but i have read many responses from other forums here and they said that only those in medical and food sector will be tested for hepa b. what are really the standards or categories that are being tested with hep b?

Hi there I hope someone can help me I was working in Qatar for 3 months I love the country a lot however I failed my medical test. They didn’t tell me why I failed the test so when I came back to my country I did a full medical examination and unfortunately tested for hepatitis B positive, the doctor told me I will recover within 6 months though. Once recovered it will show that i previously had the virus but I will be immune to it if I get the vaccination for hepatitis B after I recover can I come back to Qatar ?

Hi,

Good news, Hepatitis B positive housewives can get a resident permit in Qatar.

I am Hepatitis B positive and have got the resident permit without any questions asked alhamdulillah.

I believe if you're in an exempted category which doesn't require working in food related or medical profession, you can probably get the resident permit.

hope this would help many people.

Dear Friends, please donot advice someone on ur assumptions. I have thoroughly checked and then I am saying that. Hep B is not being checked in QAtar medical commission.

Sorry to hear your problem but its very good to ask or to know before coming.

Actually, just yesterday I red the issue in the front line of Gulf time that they are planning to do retest in each residence for the HV, that's means that it will not be advise for you to come over and have problem at the end.In this issue they want to make sure that there's no one from foreigners to be affected by HV Entering here.

Friends the medical test is only for HIV and X ray for Tuberclosis. SO dont worry. Please dont give wrong advice till u r 100% sure bcoz it is related to career. Hep B and C are only checked for few professions.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation, but Hepatitis B is considered a high risk condition. They are very strict here in Qatar with regards to health, and they WILL deport you the moment they found out that you are positive for Hepatitis B. Unfortunately, Hepatitis B doesn't have any cure because it's already in your blood for life. Don't waste your time and money on coming here because you have 100% chance of being deported, and worst case, you'll be isolated from everyone else. To give you an idea of how serious Qatar is with regards to diseases, a case of Chicken Pox will be isolated from everyone. There is a villa that the government rents where all the people with chicken pox stays. Food is being brought to you and guard is stationed outside so that no one can come out. Doctors check the condition in house.

Word of advise: Don't come here.

please dont go on assumptions. I have gone through the Medical Test this week. They test your blood and take x-ray of chest. I am sure in blood test you will be tested positive for hep B and tehy might fail you in Medical.

If you ask for serious advise then in my opinion you must tell your employer in advance and their PRO shall check and revert back to you.

The area of work does not matter at all nor you need to write any where in the registration form , which field you are going to work. So dont be under imperession that its not applicable for Sales and marketing jobs.
