residence visa renewal

could anyone tell us pls, my family recidence visa will expire on 25/04/2012, and they want to travel to the home country next month and they want to stay long time there, but i want to renew the visa before they travel and is it possible to renew, the imigration will allow me to renew or no?? thank you....
hi! kindly, take note about what is written in your RP stamped in your passport. it reads " Returning residents must have a valid passport. Residence permits will be INVALID if the bearer has more than six months outside the country".

they cannot renew their RPs any earlier than 6 months in advance. they cannot renew their RPs while they are out of Qatar. Once their RPs are expired, they cannot enter Qatar without a visa. it is logically. RP is granted to those who LIVES in the country. If they are intending to stay out of Qatar for a long time, they are not considered residents anymore. Therefore they cannot have the RPs here. Simple.
