Required current procedure to move with 42 Inch LED from Doha to india

Hi All,

I want to go to india with my 42 Inch LED sony Bravia which was purchased recently in doha for my india home...as i m Indian citizen who lived in doha on RP. I am looking for somebody who can guide me rule/procedure to meet current custom requirement.

So that we can move our goods smoothly to india...

Please guide me and help me out on the same.... Thank you in advance.

Aswanika... No problem but that depends on airlines by which u r planing to fly but most of airlines have 30kg check-in and 7kg cabin limit. so plan accordingly .... ours 42 inches was around 11kg so that was not problem for us.

Legal charges was 36% on bill amount but they asked for 500 QR without receipt and finally we had given 350 QR ... hope this will help :)

Once i tried paying the customs duty, the policeman replied - "seems you have too much money, don't act oversmart, pay 3000 inr & go".

No nood to bribe. There is a standard tax rate irreapective of make . If that is old /used one, you need to carry bill accordingly. Roughly around 8000 INR for 42". Pay duty and be beauty. Jai hind.

No bribe. You have to pay 36.05% customs duty for any TV yo are taking from India

No customs requirement in India. Whether you follow the procedure or not, you have to bribe the policemen on airport in india :) Keep 10 QR notes for a sum of 100-150QR, that should do.
