I wish to bring my wife next year near in march.I wish to ask regarding validity of the MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY VILLAGE PANCHAYAT written by hand in hindi .
Is that is valid to apply for visa for wife or otherwise I have to go to distt marriage officer for registration.

as I am already here in Qatar I cant go to district office and wait for one month.
If anybody had used the kind of certificate Or know about this then please reply.

Certificate issued by the Grama Panchayath is valid. What you have to do is, get it attested by the Ministry of Home and Ministry of External Affairs from India. Then get it attested by the Embassy of India here in Doha followed by an attestation from Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs.. Then only your application for the family visa will be accepted by the immigration department. Attestation is 100% Mandatory and you will have to produce the Original Marriage Certificate duly attested along with your application together with other documents.

It really doesnt matter if the marriage certificate is from panchayat or registrar all you need to do is get it attested first from Ministry of external affairs India in New Delhi there are people doing it here for QAR 500.00 cant tell thier credentials I havent taken any services also after it is attested you need to get it attested from Indian embassy in Doha after that from MOI Qatar. Then you can apply for your wifes family visit visa.
