Hi everyone,

I apply for(RESIDENCY VISIT VISA)for my daughter in Manila and it was approved, she should be here before november 24. Now I have a problem because she got a job offer in Doha and she pass. do you think the residence visa that i applied for her wont complicate to her new working visa.

or do you think i have to cancel her residency visa or wait till it expire and she can get a new visa and no problem.

pls advice, thanks.

Colorplayer, CHeck http://www.hec.gov.pk ... you need all your degree documents (i.e. matric, intermediate, bachelors) attested by HEC in islamabad ... u will send to send all originals by fedex(intl) or OCS (within pakistan) or you can visit them directly in islamabad.

Once attested by HEC (make sure you get the receipt from HEC) then you submit your highest degree to Qatar embassy. I this Saudi, Qatari and UAE embassy dont deal with u directly... they have appointed agents... once all the attestations are done you will find lots of ugly stamps & signatures at the back of your degree...

Note: Dont use any agent roaming on streets or outside these organisations... pakistan is full of dishonest, currupt and sick-minded careless guys... who for money will do fake stamping on your degree and you may get caught and your degree confiscated... it will be lots of trouble for you... Also never put plastic lamination on your degree - in such case your degree cannot be attested and u may need to re-apply and get degree re-issued from university.

I hope this helps. Regards

Procedure of residence visa

Dear All,

I am field engineer from China, currently my company is processing residency permit for me, which has lasted almost 4 months :(, now I have lost my patience and I'm keen to go back for vacation, but company told me I can not 'cause if so all the application has to be started again.

Until now I haven't got blood test and finger printed, so my question is can I leave here and re-enter when residency permit is still under processing? Actually I don't care this permit, I just want to go back to visit my family!

Thanks a lot and have a good day!

I suppose you guys may have been settled in RASGAS by now. Have you? How long did it actually take for you to move in from the date of your offer and is PCC neccessary? Did RASGAS ask you for it at the last moment?...Pl respond.

For the one year residency visa you don't need to get the background check. I just got mine after getting here about 2 and a half weeks ago. I finished the fingerprinting on Wed. I was just told to get the background report done when I go home for Christmas and then they can get all that sorted before my one year is up and switch me to the 5 year one. Getting the one year visa might just be the easiest way to go, if getting the background check will take a while and you need the visa.

I was told, when I got hired recently, that one big problem now is the time of year. People in the government go on holiday in August, and then Ramadan will start sometime in September. So point being the government is shorter-staffed, and then almost completely closed through September.

It's frustrating, especially when you're waiting to get out and get started, but I just think you have to hold on a bit longer. Things just move at their own pace, and as is the case with many countries, foreigners often take a place at the back of the queue. Or at least that's how Japan's government works. You get there first, you're helped last.

Dear Friend,

I am also waiting for the visa for 6 weeks now. Now things are reaching a stage where I have to change my plan. I have school going kids and hence, reaching before Sep is important. My present Residency in Kuwait is also going to expire. That is my problem.....

Hi masapmm!

Do not despair!

The delay will be there. If you love the petro dollar then you got to wait. I am in the same boat. It is taking almost

12 weeks now.

The police clearance certificate is a must. It should also be attested by the Qatar Embassy in India and it should be original not a photocopy. Please check with your employer first.

This police clearance certificate is necessary when they release the visa. The funny thing is that they won't tell you this till the last minute. They expect you to funish it with no time.

They expect every thing and every one work in no time, apart from them. LOL..

If it is your first middle east posting...then welcome to the mad house.

It is not easy to get Qatar residence visa.

If you can get a conduct certificate from your country, I suggested you attest in Qatar embassy in your country first. Then attest in your country embassy in Qatar. It will help on applying.

Another suggestion is you can apply for shorter time residence visa (like one year), not try to apply 5 years, that will be little quicker.
