Hello everybody,
I am a nigerian, living in Nigeria. I have been trying to get a job in Qatar for some time now through online application but to no avail.
Somebody told me that Qatar recruits people from Nigeria every few months.
Does anyone in this forum know anything about this or has any suggestions on how to get a work visa to Qatar?.
I have not come across the Qatar embassy address and telephone number in Nigeria or is there no embassy in Nigeria?
It is very urgent and i would appreciate any help, suggestion and information.
Thank you.

Yes, Qatar based companies do recruit from time to time but its best to secure a job from Nigeria, infact 70% of people in Qatar came here from their respective countries to find a job and you are no exception, but first, if this is your first time of working abroad, it is adviceable to be prepared before you leave Nigeria to work outside so you do not find yourself in a desperate situation that might force you to pick on 'anything' when you get here.

Theres no qatar embassy in Nigeria at present.

Just check online at the website dpatrick sent you for jobs matching your qualifications and experience. Also try this link http://www.gulf-times.com/site/topics/index.asp?cu_no=2&lng=1&template_id=51&temp_type=42

There are jobs but it doesnt come on a golden platter, just as in every where else in the world. But if you get a job, they will surely make you a work visa.

Wish you luck too.

Lollybud, visit the following websites, www.gulftalent.com and www.bayt.com, and then apply to any position in Qatar (or in other parts of the Gulf) which is suited for your qualifications and experience.

Getting a job is not easy, but it should not stop you for sending your applications. It will not happen immediately, but just keep doing it and you might just get your dream job soon. Good luck in your job search!
