Please Urgent and Accurate advise

Hi all,
I just recently moved to Doha, and my company issued me a work visa but I do not like the company. I am currently in the process of completing my application for a residence permit as they are my sponsership, and the only thing I have left to do is get my fingerprints (RP)taken. Here are my questions:
-Is it better to leave before I finish the finger prints?
-Do I need to get an exit permit from my company to leave the country?
-If I left without telling them can I come back or I will banned for two years?

Please advise.

I think if your employer, on his application, has been issued the visa in your name, you still have to go through all the formalities/restrictions as any other employee whose contract was terminated or the employee him/herself resigned regardless the visa was stamped on the passport or not.

Anyway, my suggestion is to act wisely in a tricky situation like this. The best advice could come from someone who is experienced in HR/Admin here in Qatar.

Best of luck!

on PM - just put in the subject line

On Xena's advice to contact you - please help

Otherwise she might, like most other ladies here, delete it thinking its a 'personal' PM.

but somehow I doubt it - you are technicall still on a working/visit visa, whichever they organised, so as far as I know, until your residency is done, you could leave...

There is a user on here who is quite organised with stuff like this, her name is Qatarisun, maybe you should drop her a mail and ask her about it:-)

I do have my passport with me. Do I need a permit exit from them though.

which you probably don't have with you if you are going through all the motions.

Best you go and tell the company before they finish everything. If the visa isn't processed, I think the advice of Edifis stands.

Do not go for the fingerprints. get out of the country before they can make your RP. I think, then you can come back to Doha with anoher better company.
