new passport with different name from RP?

Let's say I marry abroad this summer and take my husband's name. I will also need to renew my passport as it is expiring.
This means that as I re-enter Qatar I will have a new passport with a different name on it; I worry that there will be some trouble, even if the new passport is presented together with 1) the old passport containing my valid RP (for the old name) and 2) official marriage certificate and certificate of name change (both documents would be in English and legalised by my Foreign Ministry). I would be returning together with my new husband who also has an RP (we have different sponsors).
Does anyone have experience of a similar situation?
Did you have problems with the Immigration? Is it very complicated to get your name changed on the visa?

You need to get an official letter from your embassy saying that they do not object to the name change on your RP. This must be stamped and the original submitted along with your new passport. I got married here in Qatar and there were no issues with the mane change. Again, congratulations :)

I dont have first hand experience in this.. but my sister went thru the same thing and it was no problem at all.. especially that on the passport it says your maiden name and then on a second line it says married to or wife of and ur husbands name.. so definitely no problem.. and as long as u have you rmarriage certificate then ur safe..

If u want to further put ur mind on ease pass by the qatar consulate or embassy in ur country and double check.. you can even do that on the phone no need to pass by..

Goodluck and congratulations
