Need help from American with Family Visa
Don't want to waste a day on a wild goose chase at the US Embassy and hoping someone who has been through this can point me in the right direction.
My company is telling me to get my family visa I need to have my US marriage license authenticated by the US Embassy in Doha. But when I went to their website to schedule an appointment it says they do not authenticate US documents, that has to be done by the Secretary of State from the state the document originated. That is obviously a little difficult since my family is already in Qatar. Has anyone had to have their marriage license authenticated here? Can this be done at the Embassy?
Give the embassy a call or visit them. a lot of times the sponsors don't care about your family, or just plain ignorant fellows.
I got an Idea, why don't you call your county register office and ask them to mail you a register copy. Unless you got married in one of those places in Las Vegas joints.
