I will be arriving soon in Qatar. I have a original marriage certificate issued by the concerned authorities of my country which has also been attested by the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

BUT the attestation dates almost an year ago (Sept 2008).

Will such an old attestation be accepted by the Qatar Government?

HI,

I THINK IT IS BETTER TO GET ANOTHER COPY OF THE CERTIFICATE ATTESTED . IT WILL GO ALONG. HOW CAN YOU DO THAT ?!!!!

GET IT ATTESTED FROM THE EMBASSY OF YOUR COUNTRY IN QATAR,AFTER THAT GO THE ATTECHED SECTION OF MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS(IT'S NEXT TO AL SEEF HOTEL- NEXT TO ISLAMIC MUSEUM), HAVE IT ATTESTED THERE FOR 20 QR.AND THAT'S IT.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

HI,

if you attested your marriage certificate already in your home contry external affairs (on original copy) its enough.

once you reached qatar you have to get attestation of your country embassy in qatar and get attest from ministry of interior from qatar.

thats all.

Even if your marriage contract is FAKED!...Attestation of any document is "A true copy of the original" and there is no expiry.

As long as you are still married to the same person I can't see a problem!
