mother in-law visa(personal visit visa) 3 months extension

is there any new rule about the mother in-law's visa today in Qatar? last year we got 6months validity, but this time as per the immigration officer he can give additional 2months extension because of the new rule in Qatar.. we are trying to extend it again for another 3months to make it 6months validity but they refuse it again... does anyone here has the same situation? please advise...

It happened to me as well, it was for my mother but as she was sponsored by my husband, they gave only 3 months...
