Hi all,

I am having a terrible situaion...Please, updae me on this.

My sister came doha on a work visa. and during her medical, they toled she is unfit to work. she had TB before 10 years. and she did 2 X rays during her medical here. and they did PPD and then only they decited as Unfit. And she went back.

Now I'm taking my sister under family Visit Visa for 6 months. She need to under go another medical to extend the Visa.

My question is, Will there be a problem again when she go for the medical as early? or for this medical they will not check things in deeper way?

Thank you.

Did she receive proper treatment when she was diagnosed of Pulmonary TB 10 yrs back? If her Xray doesn't show any problem, and only the PPD was used to rule out the TB in her blood, it may not be inaccurate of some sort. PPD test NEEDS to have a BIG BLISTER in order for you to be cleared and non-reactive. If the blister is small, chances are 2 things, either you are a carrier of TB or you are taking medicines (steroids, for example) which makes PPD test inaccurate. If she'll be taken PPD test again, tell her not to put any pressure on it and let the blister grow. The bigger the blister (around 10mm), the better. If she puts pressure on it, chances are, the blister will not grow, and hence be assumed that she is a carrier.

have her checked on your country prior to her arrival so that you won't be wasting money on sending her here and leave again after being diagnosed as unfit.
