land route travel to saudi from qatar.

Can anyone pls explain me the procedures to go to saudi (dammam) thru land route?
any exit permit needed, any visa needed, how much will ba da total cost.. etc...
and if i'm travelling thru my own car, do i need to get a permit for that?

sorry i forgot to mantion to u there is also a 70 saudi riyal fee for insurance
if u go out of saudi u need to pay again 70 sr
the cost of the visa through saudi will be qr 135. if u have a car loan u
need to have aletter from the bank for the border,.
this letter need one of these things from u .
1) any gurantor for u most have his /her salary in doha bank.(OR)
2) ...U PUT 100% DEPOSIT of all the money u still need to pay for ur loan.
3)...A letter from UR company saying. we gurantee so and so ur name.........
ID............nationality...........to take his car out of qatar and will return
back after finishing his vacation .and we r responsible for his loan if any thing goes wrong. i just done this through doha bank
1) If you intend to transit Saudi or visit Saudi, you will need a Saudi visa. Kanz Travel (44883713) can process the paperwork. No idea as to the cost2) Exit permit only from your sponsor3) If there is a car loan, you may need a guarantee letter from sponsor/Qatari National. If there is no loan, no paperwork. Check with the Qatar Automotive Club on C Ring Road (between Gulf Times and QNB) if you need to clarify details. 4) After exiting Qatar, at Saudi border post you will have to give your finger prints (if you are transiting, sometimes no fingerprinting), get car/contents checked, get Saudi visa counter-stamped by border police, buy vehicle insurance at counter near exit of border post.5) About 1km from border post inside Saudi, there is a roundabout with clear instructions for heading to Dammam.Enjoy!
