As already mentioned if your salary is above 7k and you are provided with accommodation or housing allowance, then RP for family should not be a problem. However make sure your title is as per your qualifications. Changing it later is a hassel. When applying for RP you will be asked to produce your qualification certificates and 6 months bank statement along with a letter from your company stating your job title and complete salary package. So that means you will still have to wait 6 months before applying for RP.Before you had to wait 6 months before applying for RP but now you can get it done in 3 months. They still expect 6 months bank statement coz they are so smart anyways. Also you will need to have a Qatari ID so until you have everything in order its a long lonely wait :P

job title does matter a lot , as a technician you might get family visa if your salary more than 8000 , but it'll will be easy to get family visa if you change your job title to civil engineer..... good luck

GodFather.

I think it depends on your Salary. Maybe someone else can also comment if the  job category mentioned in your visa make any difference or not.
