Can I hire a foreign worker to drive me around and to cook for me without formally sponsoring them? In the UAE it is illegal and you can face grave circumstances, is it the same here in Qatar?

It is the same here, 50,000 and YOU get deported.

However, if you get a NOC from his sponsor it is legal.
