I need to know about medical test for Visa

Dear Friends,
Can anyone guide me on the following case. I bring here my wife on one month visit visa to Qatar. Now I need to extend it for another 2 months. I came to know that she has to clear the medical test before she apply for visit visa extension. Is it mandatory? If yes , then how shall she proceed for the medical test. Where she need to go for the test. when & how she will get the medical appointment? After finishing the test from where she need to collect the test report?
Shall we need to submit the test report while applying for visit visa extension?What are the other documents required for her visa extension? She is on my personal sponsorship.
I would much appriciate a genuine reply..

yes it is mandatory to undergo medical test if your wife's gonna stay here for more than a month. You can go in Medical COmmission, go there as early as 7am to avoid long queue. BRing her passport, visa, and also your copy of passport/QID. She will have to pay 100qr, provide her with atm debit because they don't accept cash. Results will be available as early as the next day or as long as a week. You can get the result online, check it everyday so you won't miss it. Then you can go and proceed with visa extension. As to my case, I didn't get the result anymore, because since Qatar has its database, the result of medical exam is automatically entered in immigtation's database too. Therefore, when you get there and they checked your visa number for extension, they will see if you have done the medical exam, and its results. :) Good luck!
Yes it is mandatory for everyone who will stay for more than a month here in Qatar. Go to medical commission you will pay 100QR but make sure she will bring ATM debit card, they don't accept cash. She has to bring her passport, visa copy and provide yours too just in case. SHe will then have to undergo XRAY and blood extraction for Hepa and HIV screening. Tip: make sure she holds her breath during Xray so as not to have problems with the result :) good luck!
