hi friends,
I live here with my family and recently lost my father in law due to a sudden death.

my mother-in law is 55 years old and my wife being the only child we could not leave her (mother)along in our home country.so we arranged a visit visa and brought her here for 3 months which is due to expire in the mid of February.

can i get a family visa for my mother in law by providing death certificate of her husband attested by qatar foriegn ministry?

which place should i go to ? immigration or labour dept. family visa section?

pls advice me. thanks in advance.

you should approach the immigration department for that matter. They have a salary range for sponsoring family members (including in laws). If you qualify for that range then get a no objection letter for sponsoring your mother in law from the company where you are working, supporting documents such as proofs of relationship with her and proceed to the immigration department. You may call this number from immigration department 44890419 for more inquiries about family visa. Good luck

My friend has the same problem.. he has been struggling in Qatar to get her residence visa since 2 years... has used several sources to obtain this visa but this NEVER gets approved.. they say its against the policy.

BUT what he does is, once she is here on visit visa, and its about to expire he keeps applying for extention and gets it easily... for a month or two each time .. he gets it..

Good luck bro.. and may God bless you for taking care of your parents
