How can i get a tourist visa from manila?

Hello. I am going to europe this september via qatar airways and will be transitting thru doha. I am planning to roam doha for a day on my way back home to manila. I asked the qatar embassy here in manila and i was told that i should get the tourist visa from qatar thru a sponsor and send it to them for certification. I dont really understand the process. First i dont have a sponsor there, i dont know anyone from qatar, i am just dropping by to visit for a day. Can anyone tell me how can i visit doha if this is the case? thanks so much.

You can get a transit visa through Qatar Airways.

you can call qatar airways ticketing center in manila, they can issue tourist visa for you if you're travelling thru QA.
