coelacanth, the waiting period is 3 months and not 6 months.
rest of the steps are right.
u have to get a medical test done for ur wife and child (at medical commision in abu hamour). then after 3-4 days u can go to any visa center (gharaffa or meseimeer) and get the visa extended.
i suggest you wait for a week if you have time as sometimes the medical results take more than 3 days.
charges are QR 200 per passport per month(age doesnt matter)
btw, one more thing. Over stay is charged at QR 200 per day per passport.
Once the family visit visa is finished, you cannot just exit and come back. You have to wait for another 6 months before you can apply for a family visit visa.
The procedures they mentioned are correct. Go to Medical Commission and have them undergo medical screening. I am not sure if children below 7 yrs old are required to undergo the same medical procedure.
IMHO. Once they arrive here they have 2 weeks visa (1st arrival) then (within that 2 weeks period) they have to do a medical exam. If they pass the exam you can now extended their visa up to 6 months (including the 2 weeks). After 6 months they have to exit qatar and come back again for another 6 months. goodluck
First thing go to Medical Unit near Abu Hamour and do medical for your family and then only you can extend your family visit visa upto six months. The fee is 200/Qr per passport for one month.
