Sorry, there is no way that a HIV infected person can work in the Gulf region.

A senior manager with over 15 years of service in an Abu Dhabi government organisation and who contracted HIV was fired and removed very quickly.

Hi! there,

Sorry! to hear about your problem!

In our medical certificate it's definitely included checking HIV. If anyone has this you definitely cannot work in this type of culture as they are very strict about it. I know a case of a woman in Bahrain when they found out she is Hepatitis B positive they send her back home straight how much more with HIV?

In our case in Saudi they even test my kids when they are only 3 and 6 years old.

I know one nurse back in Oman she had an accident getting poke by a needle and she ended up finding HIV+.

Do unto others, what you want to do unto you!!!

It is hard to get a job when having HIV.

I hope you feel OK.

If you think you are HIV positive, then its better you dont try over here. 'cos if they detect it, I think they will immediately pack you off.

Yep, my offer letter is also conditional upon satisfactory medical report, and that includes HIV

I think it said on my contract that they would not accept HIV positive. You may want to look over your offer letter carefully before contacting your potential employer. Best of luck.
