Can anybody figure out my problem regarding getting transit visa in Qatar???? Am planning to spend my HAJ holiday this coming month of Dec. in Qatar with my friend who is working and holding a valid residence visa. Am Filipina, working and employed from one of the companies here in Dubai with a valid residence visa in UAE. May i know what are the requirements needed when applying transit visa and what other pertinent documents should i present upon arrival in Doha Intl Airport?? Am in dire need of your answers and suggestions concerning this matter. Please let me know as soonest time as can be. Thank you for your direct responses in advance.

You must stay in the hotel for the whole period while you are in Doha for you will be under the hotel's sponsorship. You are not allowed to check in with a different hotel or stay with your family/freinds. Once you check out, you must exit Doha or charges will apply. Processing will take 5 working days. Visa cost depends on which hotel you are booked.

Hope this helps.

BTW your friend is male or female .... if male dont carry a invitation letter

dont take chances for getting a visa on arrival unless you holding an European passport

I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here

Than a whole truck load when I'm gone

I am sorry to disagree with you, depending on the case, the viability of visas is great.

Your visa status is different, and if anyone wantsto come to Doha she will first be stopped from flying if there is not a valid visa, second if she arrives in Doha without a valid visa she will be taken into custody and her details will be taken and she (if it applies) wil be sent on the next flight to Dubai most probably with a ban.

Please check you details and what is and is not allowed before you post.

Your visas status does not apply to all.

If you would take the time to read the newspapers, you will have read recently that the Philippino Embassy have put a stop to the visit visa status as it was. Check it out!!!!

I'm sorry to disagree with you mr. t_coffee. it's not the nationality. i'm also a filipina like azierb15, and also currently a resident in dubai, but my project assignment is in doha, so i am always in and out of doha. but azierb15 better to inquire first, ask the travel agency in dubai to be sure.

Not all nationalities are eligible for visa on arrival... your best option is to apply for Qatar airways visit visa from Dubai or your friend can apply from here

if you are a resident in dubai, you can buy your visa at the doha airport. The visa cost QR55 if paid in cash, I think if its through credit card it cost QR100, but I'm not sure, coz i only pay through e-cash. So before going to the passport control there's a counter for getting the e-cash card which cost QR75, which you can use everytime you visit qatar. The visa you buy at the airport is valid for 2 weeks. But first inquire if you are eligible to acquire a visa from the airport, as I heard that, that depends on the status or profession of the visitor.
