To get the things done in less time pls go to Wakra Passport office. You can avoid long lines.

But the things won't be good till there's digital system. What I hated most was the black ink which we have to put allover our fingers and palms and which takes quite a minute to remove it.

you cannot get a pre-paid mobile phone until you have a RP... tried it myself ?

Car you can only get if you have a credit card, in my case I moved from Oman so had to cancel my cc and now i am waiting for a bank to issue me a new cc so i can rent a car until then i am waiting on the road side for hours to get a taxi.

You can get a prepay cell phone, you can rent a car to drive, etc all before you get your RP.

They now say that they are taking fingerprints electronicaly, not as messy. Biggest problem with the whole thing is waiting in line.

What I understood from your explaination, that it takes 6 weeks, during this period, you have to take medical and fingerprint. But it doesn't tkae shorter than that.

You can't get cell phone, or car, until you finish all this process, but how can you make arrangment for transportation? and cell phone?

Then there is the medical, including blood tests

So after completing medical and fingerprint, it takes them 6 weeks to process the pemit. Why it takes too long?

It looks like simple and easy.
