Filipino Qatar Visa - Stamp ? Need help fast

Hello,

I am here in Qatar working. I already have my residents permit. I am trying to get my wife and baby here with me from the Philippines. I am american.

My work has issued a visa for her to come and start the process of joining my residents permit. My work is a new company, so we don't have a lot of experience.

I fly tonight to go there and pick them up.

But...... This afternoon I was told that there maybe a stamp needed on the visa from the Qatar Embassy in Manila.

Does anyone know if we will need to get this stamp?

The baby is 5 weeks old so from what I understand, the baby can be issued a visa here using the NSO birth certificate.

Anyway I am flying tonight with a return ticket booked for Saturday.

Thanks for any help someone can provide.

qatar embassy no longer accepts walk-ins that's why documents need to be submitted thru DHL.

The Immigration at the Airport will also require a DSWD certification for your child...the child's birth certificate and your marriage contract are required for this I think...

All suggestion are all true and most precise is that when you send thru email a copy of visa then bring it to the nearest DHL outlet and bring all orignal documents the folowing marriage contract, birth certificate of your wife and and your child and be sure it was already red ribbon from immigration. thats all i remember when came here in qatar. It took me 14 working days to wait just to gather the documents. Hope that this will satisfy your querry.

BE PATIENT AND GOOD LUCK....

Why he should cancel his flight? He can bring the visa with him and once he arrived in Philippines tomorrow, then they can forward the docs directly to Qatar Embassy in Makati. It is quicker than DHL. The fastest DHL could deliver the docs in Philippines is 2 days minimum. So he just need to extend his stay in Philippines for few days more and has to rebook his return flight.

I suggest to cancel your flight tonight, and send their visa to them in the Phil. even thru email only. From there they must send the visa together with their passport to qatar embassy in the phil thru DHL. Just ask DHL what are to be included. I believe they need to send their photo also. This needs 7 working days to return to them. You might end up returning to qatar alone if you fly tonight.

when you have the printed e-visa, you need to send copy to your wife.. then your wife will submit the passport, printed copy of the visa, and 2x2 photo in qatar embassy in manila..they will put something in the passport..a sticker of the visa with stamp.. for verification purpose i guess..

thats what i did when i came through tourist visa.. all my friends who came here did that procedure..

if process is still the same few years ago then she has to submit her passport together with the visa printout to the qatar embassy in the philippines. check also if she still has to attend a seminar for filipinas with foreign spouses in CFO (center for filipinos overseas) to obtain a sticker on her passport that immigration officers check for. my wife did all these 5yrs ago when she and our son came here to live with me. all the best.
