Family Integration
Dear All,
We are moving to Doha from Europe and need some help/ advice from the known peers.
I will be joining my employer in Jan 2013. As told to me I then have to apply for my own RP and Qatari ID. Once I have these in place I then have to apply for my wife and kids RP and once they get it only then they can travel and join me?. Also once I have my RP I can then apply for my children school admissions in British Curriculum as they say it is mandatory regulation.
Now my question is since we have EU passport and we are eligible for visa on arrival. Is it possible that my family travels soon after I get my RP with visa on arrival condition and join me so that I can get my kids schooling sorted and paralelly submit application for their RP?
Appreciate if anyone out there could show some light who had some prior experience in similar situation.
Thank you. Much appreciated.
The PRO of your company should take care of this things for you, however, inge-info is right you can take your family with you and have the visa on arrival. But you really need to have assistance from your company because usually, the PRO takes care of this matter.
Good evening,
If you have eu passport, you can bring your family with you without problem. Normally, you have a work visa to come.
When you arrive at doha airport, they will do a tourist visa for the members of your family for one month I think.
Within this month, you can get your resident permit and the resident permit of your family if your company works well.
If you dont succeed to do it within one month, you can extend the tourist visa for the members of your family.
Actually, what you will do is to change your work visa into residence permit. For this you need to undergo a blood check and x ray of your chest.
With these things the immigration section of your company will apply for your rp. The company will be your sponsor.
Once you have your RP, you have to do the same for your family (blood and x ray) except for babies.
You will be the sponsor of your family members. Each of these steps (blood, xray) are not free but I dont remember the prices.
