Reference your earlier advise, i would like to know the following:

As i mentioned that iam currently in UAE. I sent my degree copy and passport copy to a co. in Qatar for further processing of visa. they told me that my visa is under process and also asked me for valid residency of UAE.

My question is that i want to move from UAE while i do not have original degree with me as it was lost during earthqake in 2005. even my degree is not related to my job. In case i move from uae, upon arrival at Doha during residency process, immigaration will ask for my original degree? or copy which i sent to comapny is enough for processing everything even at later stage?. Otherwise i need to go back home country and get duplicate. please advise , your urgent response would be very much appriciated.

To prove a point My visa says I am a carpenter but I am doing profesional work. In fact I am the most expensive carpenter in this region if not for the whole continent. I am living with my family and I sponcer them as well. It all depends on who is your sponcer.

-First, copy of your degree cert. will do, but have it authenticated from your embassy.

-Second,(E4 is right) Immigration is not interested w/ your degree.

-Third, (nathan is right too), Degree certificates will goes to Labor Dept. for evaluation of your job title to process your visa.

-Fourth, "shuttering carpenter"-no probs, provided that you have an invitation letter from the company. Let your company here resolve this for you..

-Fifth, yes! business visa can be converted into work visa. Again, its your company task to get the visa done.

-Sixth, Wish you Good luck! & advance warm welcome to Doha;)))

Nathan, he's asking if immigration require his degree. Don't confuse him. Immigration don't need the degree or a copy of.

c.titus, I'm sure many people here can answer this question.

Immigration aren't interested in your degree. Academic qualifications are not something immigration requires.

Good luck.
