Driver's Licensing New Rule

Good day.
I just would like to hear some opinion, suggestion, or recommendation regarding the new rule in getting driving license. The rule said, also tried in one driving school, that I am not legible to get this license because of the occupation in my RP which is Machine Operator. Yes, it is really my job, operator of LNG plant. But I came here for indefinite contract and a family status, didn't they consider it? It is difficult not to own a car for ease transportation especially with two children who will attend their schools here in Qatar. Another thing the news said, "these workers should be provided with a bus going to work". Of course, my company provided it already, but working is not only my activity here. I, with my family, need also to enjoy staying Qatar. How will we enjoy if just staying in the accommodation or paying for a very expensive fare in taxis?

Traffic Dept has more knowledge and wisdom than us but I would like to suggest an idea which will help truly elgible expats. I want traffic Dept to make an alternative for the expats who have educational certificates and working on bigger positions but only becuz they don't have have proper profession mentioned on ID becuz of there company they were suffering. Make a procedure educational certificates+ Company offered position on agreement + your terms and conditions.

These will help getting license for deserved expats.

I hope it will reach the dept and they will make changes in future.

However, people who work as clerks, stewards, cashiers, salesmen, foremen, tailors, blacksmiths, masons, cooks, carpenters, plumbers, painters, electricians, mechanics, computer technicians, waiters, barbers, beauty saloon workers, store keepers, photographers and secretaries will not be issued driving licences, it is learnt.

There may be some provision in the laws that, if u have family with children u r eligible to get the licence irrespective of your profession. Confirm it from the authorities.
