Different Visa Policies and Terms
Assalam-o-Alaikum,
I am residing in Pakistan as of now but soon visiting Qatar for 3months and half. My father is sponsoring me as he has residence permit of Qatar. The question is that the dept. which handles these requests says that in order to issue a visa for your child you need to issue a visa for your spouse too even if she doesnt visit. I am 18years old having NIC of Pakistan or easily say independant so I dont think it should be necessary to get the visa of my mom to get my visa done.
Also I want to ask that is there any rule or law which talks about student visa in Qatar (I know its senseless question since there education system is way too bad).
And if I need a permanent residence permit in Qatar what do I have to do if I dont do job and only study in Qatar then is it possible ? and if yes than whats the procedure for that.
One last thing my father is there for over 29years now and the new rule says that any person living in Qatar for over 25years is eligible for Nationality of Qatar and the following points were stated to be necessary.
* 25 Years Residence in Qatar (With Max Gap not exceeding 6months)
* Fluent Arabic Speaker
* No Criminal Record
My father is set for all the points but when he asked they say anybody doing Govt. Service is not eligible for nationality so is there any more detail on this issue since I saw all there websites but none said that its not allowed for Govt. Employees.
I thank in advance to any and every member who replies to me. Thankyou all for having the wonder website/blog and forum and for helping out the others.

Yeah just read that aswell what a great rule Qatar rox na gives 2000 Riyals as salary and needs high standard of living so I could easily say they are not giving citizenship instead just claiming to because most of the people who are non nationals and meet all the requirements are in total hardy 1 or 2.
I seem to recall that another requirement for citizenship is high standard of living. Not really sure.
thanks for quick reply everyone I will check the site and get back with my say.

I'm not sure what the visa restriction are for people from Pakistan, but you should be able to get a 14 day travel visa and just renew it every 14 days (that could mean a trip to Bahrain). I know some people on their parents residency visa, I don't remember them telling me anything about their moms, but their moms were already there as well.
Thank u sammie...
can you pls give me exact url instead of name.
