Convert visit visa for wife to permanent visa

I would like to bring my wife, who resides in Abu Dhabi currently, to Qatar on family visit visa, and apply for residence visa while she's here. Does she have to leave the country while the application is processed, or can she stay here?

Yes, she can stay in QATAR while you process her permanent visa..No need to leave the country..

Let your wife wait for her visit visa's

approval (this is only 3 days processing. it used

to be just a day's processing time).

Once approved, she can travel to Doha. Then, apply conversion of her visit visa to family visa

(my husband followed this process).
