I want to know, is there any problem for me of going back to Dubai for a visit and returned here in Doha? I worked before here in Doha and finished my contract and was cancelled last year March 2008 and gave me NOC. But I transfered to Dubai for I have a quick offer there and start to work with a residence visa but lasted only up to June 2008 and was cancelled. So I returned here in Doha from Dubai for a business visa on July 2008 and at the same time the company which hired me,transfer my business visa into working visa under the company's name and will expire on July 2009.Now I'm planning to visit my wife in Dubai this May 2009 for 15 to 20 days and I have a question if there is any problem of going to Dubai for a visit and can go back here in Doha? Please advise me.

lilsamu,

You mentioned about some circumstances which about the credit card and bank loan. Because I have a bank loan and credit card here in Qatar. Can it affect also when I travel? Is there any possibility that the airport personnel will question me? Thanks

As mentioned above you can enter with visa on arrival if your title is engineer. But visa on arrival is not free, as I remember I paid around 180 dirhams or sth like that.

Pekekoy,

Having your residence visa cancelled in UAE in June 2008 doesn't impose any entry restriction for you to UAE under normal circumstance. Special circumstance would be the following

a) No entry ban by your previous employer (You should know that)

b) Any outstanding credit card or bank loan default. Beware - the police will deport you from airport if you have any outstanding defaults. My advise in that case would be to settle all dues and then plan for travel

c) Any pending police complaint against you (rent-a-car, minor / major offences etc)

Another entry requirement to UAE is entry visa, which can be obtained based on your profession (since you have a GCC residency). In case of any doubts, it is suggested to have a visit visa pre-arranged in advance by your wife / any other friend.

PM me if you have any other question, or if you would like to get a visit visa arranged.

i cant see any problem with it since you already have a working visa (RP) here in doha. Dubai will juect treat you as visitor provided you will not overstay.

As far as I understand you are working under sponsorship of your current company and you have your visa. It seems there wont be any problem. Last but not least I hope you and your wife can find a job in same country.

Good luck
