Ban Period: Any Exceptions?

Hey Folks!

First of all, congrats to all for the WC 2022 in Qatar.

As for my question, I have a serious offer from a Governmental Body in Qatar. I was interviewed by the Section Manager and he confirmed forwarding my papers to the Ministry of Culture to issue a formal offer letter.

I worked previously in Qatar and did not complete one year and my previous employer is not willing to give me NOC. Now I still have 6 months ban after I spent 18 months in UAE. Can they get me a visa? Or I should wait till the end of the ban?

Is Qatar the same as UAE as Graduated people and holders of high diploma can pay for the ban period and cancel it?

Many thinks for sharing your knowledge.

Hope so crusher, it's good for us to avoid slavery...hence, it's been rumor since 2006 and until now it remains the same.

what if I don't, what would you do then? open your eyes dude, lots of laborers here are working with delayed salaries, working long hours without overtime pay...but they can do nothing because of sponsorship law...

don't get me wrong, am just telling the truth...

I am just lucky to have a great job and salary...with a husband's visa... Since I have these privileges, I'm happy...but not for the others.

Again to avoid SLAVERY!

Was you visa cancelled when you left. If not you may have to do 30 months as it takes 6 months for you visa to automatically cancel then you have a 2 year ban.

There is a rumour that there is an new law coming in to Qatar about company sponsorship.

Check in the Gulf Times online. The announcement is supposed to be made on Qatar Independance Day 18th Dec
