Any friend travelling to Qatar from Chennai bfore 10th or 11th of April?
Dear friends,
I request you that If any one of your friend is coming to Qatar from Chennai before 10th or 11th of April, Please mail me at ponminnal/-a-t-/gmail.com or call me at 33165498. If any one is coming then, I will arrange to hand over my wife's passport which is so urgent to get here to cancel my visa. My wife left to India 5 months back for delivery and she can not come back now. Imm dept said that to cancel my visa, my wife's visa should be cancelled first.
I tried with courier, they refused to take it. If possible, Please try to help.

I went to Immigration dept and they first verified my wife's exit date. Since it was only 5 months they said not possible to cancel it. When I said I need to do cancellation of my employment visa, then they asked to submit both application same time. (For me & for my wife).
Today (08.04.2012), I have made both applications and submitted my wife's original national ID and then they cancelled her visa. Now it is my company's part to do cancellation of my visa which they will do it tomorrow. So, it is clear that to cancel wife's visa who is outside Qatar, we need only ID of her and no passport needed.

Our HR dept only asked me to bring the wife's passport to cancel the visa. They did the same already for another employee here. They said that the immigration dept will ask the presence of my wife but if we show them a proof that she can not come then they will accept. I have my baby's birth certificate. Any how, I am going to try myself by visiting the immigiration dept tomorrow. Meanwhile, if any one comes, let me know please.

You cancel your wife's visa without her passport in Qatar Immigration. NO NEED FOR ORIGINAL PASSPORT. Moreover, even if you bring your wife's passport withour wife coming, it is ILLEGAL as well as Qatar Immigration will not accept her passport for such cancellation. It is not valid....... So you please cancel your wife's RP at Qatar immigration...
