About Family Visit Visa

By Adrian William ...

Hi Guys, I just need a little help from you, my wife and my son arrived in Doha last May 28, 2015 under my sponsorship-Family Visit Visa.

When I was applying for both of them, I knew that Family Visit Visa validity is good for 6 months only.

So it means they can only stay until 3rd week of December 2015.

Recently I have read in a forum that it can also be extended until one year. I just want to know if how true is this. Also, is it possible that my wife can do a work in Doha on a Family Visit Visa?

I am afraid she might faced some problem on wards, she already started her works last Monday Sept. 14. Please advise and share...

Thanks a lot.

Hi Adrian, as per to my experience it was the immigration who told me to sponsor my son since, i'm not sponsored by my husband because he cannot (salary less 10k) and i'm working with another company now. What we did is we give all the requirements from Salary Certificate both me and my husband, employment contract both attested by MOFA, bank statement both of you, Certificate/Diploma attested by MOFA, Housing Contract which we got from my husband's company, Marriage Certificate attested by MOFA.

Sorry I just read your reply. I appreciate your time and sharing your knowledge and ideas.

Actually my wife has asked her employer if possible after getting a working visa if she could sponsor my son unfortunately, her employer informed that it is not possible.

Kindly advise, please. :)

After your wife transferred to working visa, you can apply for family residence visa for your son and your wife will be the sponsor, you just have to provide all the necessary documents.

Hi, i was also on a family visit visa sponsored by my husband but only extended for 7 mos., if she find a job with working visa that would be fine. Working on a visit visa is illegal.
