3 year visa cancellation

Hi every,

Urgently!!!

I am Chinese Engineer holding 3-year Work Visa and I have worked in Doha for 8 months. I will come back to China without returning back to Qatar, and my company asked me to wait in Doha until my visa is cancelled by the government (they said that I must stay in doha during this procedure). Due to my tight schedule, I need to leave on 15-Dec-2008, so I wonder to know

1. whether it is possible to canncel my work visa after my departure.

2. If I must stay in Doha, how many days will it take to cancel my visa? (It is said the government is on hodlidays till 15-Dec-2008

Thank you very much!!!

Looking forward to your reply

I think if you stay abroad for more than six months your visa will automatically be cancelled.

The work or residence visa can be cancelled anytime, even after you have returned to China.

Dear all,

I just want to know whether the work visa can be cannceled abroad? So I can persuade my company to issue the exit permit and ticket on time.

I'm afraid it becomes an issue of the company giving you an exit permit rather than whether or not you can cancel the visa from abroad. Good luck meeting your deadline!

dear all,

Does that mean :

1. I can go back to china without canncel my work visa?

2. Work visa can be canncelled after my leave?

P.S.

1. My company is a JV, part of it is Chinese company and I can get back my salary when I am in China.

2. Our company (Doha) said because they want to cancel my work visa, I must stay and wait and they didnt issue the exit permits and ticket for me yet.

If your sponsor let's you go, go. No need to cancel the visa if you don't come back.

Just get your ticket and leave, but why dont you wait till you get your salary and then leave. and dont come back again.
