Deleerious, as you are new to the country, you will start to see in your work place, that there are people who are not contributing or having the sense of value-add or improving the situation/processes. I am sure you will see this soon enough, as you have project management experience. These people need to go, they come here straining the company and Qatar's resources and almost do nothing at work. Q companies and its management has started to see these people and started targeting them, as 2016 budget allocated for each business unit has been reduced significantly. We need to adapt the value-add society culture like Singapore to move forward. People need to start realizing that if you cannot add value to the company you work for or the society that you are living in, then why are you here draining and straining resources for other people who wants to make change here. Keep the people who make changes and add value, kick those who are just here to drain resources. If my company find me useless tomorrow, then I am prepared to leave. You always need a back up plan here. I hope people get the message and start making changes!
