@brit - we are talking about the gov't. stepping in so they can regulate and lower the cost for rents on villas and flats, of course we know it is privately owned by locals. Since it is unregulated, they can put any rental price they want. I think the Expat community is not asking much, just a little consideration, but I guess most locals don't care, and don't know basic human compassion (i even think this words does not exist on their vocabulary)
