Nothing much you can do this is the way the vehicle insurance works here. That's why locals and most expats go for Japanese cars, due to the wide availability of 2nd hand parts. Also, if you drive around, you will also see lot of the locals buy new cars, because if there are major accidents (even not your fault), you are most likely guaranteed that insurance will cover most of it. In Qatar, if you are driving older European or American cars, you will always lose out, if accident happens. I suggest you tell your insurance that you will pay the QAR 12K (50%) and have it repaired at the Range Rover dealer and sell the car. With whatever money you have got from selling the car, buy a new Japanese car (If you plan to stay in Qatar for long term).
