For Christians and those who celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve, the following applies (compulsory):
· On the 24th of December 2013, half a day is given off (afternoon) and the 25th of December 2013 is given as a whole day off.
· On the 31st of December 2013, half a day is given off (afternoon) and the 1st of January 2014 is given as a whole day off.
For Muslims and all other religions that do not celebrate the above (compulsory):
· On the above dates, no leaves are permitted as the Project progress must continue because these days are not official holidays in Qatar.
· The three days may be taken separately or together at any given day during the next year (provided a request is made on time) and if not taken at all, they can be added to the yearly leave days of the employee.
