You jump into a job that would offer you a salary that LOOKS high compared to what you get paid in your home country. But later you realize that living expenses are really high here and end up saving very little and sometimes nothing. Why don't you otherwise earn a little less but spend some quality time with your family if you work back home? 11k is less I'd say. To live a decent happy life, you'll need at least 20k. Else, if you're happy with a very average life, accept it.
