When this testing thing came out 5 years ago, it was reported in the papers as an important measure to try curb the number of disabilities related to cousins marrying.
If you don't like that it for those reasons, then thats your problem. Genetics in humans, especially those that are closely related is very dicey. Not saying every child born to cousins will have a disability, but the ratio of these instances is higher, especially when first cousins marry each other, then their sister/brothers marry each other, then their children marry each other.
