I understand the need of a high resolution monitor when it comes to games specially if your graphics card can hadle it. The resolution and FPS are the things that really matters. Higher pixels = more details and more colors = happy gamer.
2560 x 1600 = 16:10 aspect ratio = Enthusiasts/Gamer
1920 x 1080 = 16:9 aspect ratio = 1080p over used in LED/LCD monitors and sales/marketing talk.
to the naked eye it will look the same but for overclockers ,pc gamer and enthusiasts it is N0t the same.
IF your graphics card can give a good FPS for this resolution I would likely do the same with my pc, but then again... not enough minerals....
