It is likely that those threads had other voilations of the code of conduct here on QL. I for one believe every topic is relevant as long as it concerns any one on the site. There is no reason to delete a post just because it has no direct significance to living in Qatar.
We are human beings and we are affected by things whether they happen inside or outside Qatar and as knowledgeable individuals there is nothing wrong for us in discussing them.
Posts should only be deleted if they cause a serious breach such as use of offensive, racist, voilent and similarly sinister words or themes.
