As of right now you cannot go to a restaurant in the pearl and purchase alchohol. This was a decision of the Qatari Government. They will always reconsider, but you will not hear word of it until the change actually happens. You can, however with the correct permission from your soon to be sponsor, purchase alchohol for consumption in your home. So if you fancy a glass of wine, a pint or wiskey and a cigar after dinner, you will be just fine here.
