Because if you view women as an analogy, i.e candy, apples, diamonds, etc, you take away what makes them human. They become voiceless, faceless and opinion less. You can't hurt them and they can't hurt you. There is nothing worse you can do to a person than strip them of what makes them a person. Think about how the Nazi's demonized the Jews & how Americans viewed blacks in the early part of the last century.
